Creating the right fragrance takes more than just science; it takes the flair, the creativity, and most importantly the very instinct of a perfumer.Since its founding in 1970, ML Ramnarain Perfumers, have maintained their forefront positing in the world of Natural Perfumes locally known as ‘Attar’ or ‘Itr’.

It was in 1970 that M.L. Ramnarain Perfumers started with Late Mr. Harinarain Kapoor’s vision to be known as one of the finest perfumers in the fraternity. And it did not take too long for the dream to finally make place in the ‘Attar’ industry.

Prior to starting his own company, he was involved in the perfumery business along with his brothers. The erntstwhile firms Manau Lal Ramnarain and National Sandalwood Distillery were undoubtedly the biggest home grown perfumery firms in the country supplying sandalwood oil to some of the largest fragrance companies of the world. With time each of the four brothers took off by themselves and so did Hari Narain.

He was now in charge of the parent firm Manau Lal Ramnarain which today is known as M.L. Ramnarain Perfumers with its head office in Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh, India and now run by Hari Narain’s three sons.

Today, M.L. Ramnarain Perfumers remains a family firm that specializes in the manufacturing of Attars and Indian essential oils with its head office at Kannauj in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India and a branch office at Kolkata, West Bengal – INDIA.

While domestic sales account for the larger percentage of MLRN’s topline, the firm exports essential oils in large quantities to Europe and its Attars to the GCC countries. As a matter of fact, the firm’s exports of Attars to Europe too has seen significant growth.
